Our team will be working tirelessly to make sure that this is the best experience for you and our attendees. We look forward to Survive and Thrive being a roaring success.
Club Getaway
Club Getaway is a 300-acre Sports Fun and Adventure Destination located in Kent, CT, approximately 90 miles north of New York City, in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains on a pristine private lake. Club Getaway offers over 50 adventure activities that will keep you smiling all weekend long.
The property is a converted children’s summer camp. Each cabin is climate controlled and has a private bathroom. The cabins have two to four twin beds, each with a comfortable memory foam mattress. There are no TV’s in the cabin. The cabins are country rustic, clean and comfortable.
Dinners will be served family style, while breakfast and lunch will be buffet.

Getting there
JFK, LaGuardia or Newark Airports.
If you are arriving in New York for business before Survive and Thrive, you may choose to take the shuttle bus we provide to the Camp. The bus will depart from 49th St & 11th Ave at 11 a.m. on Friday morning Sep. 8th. (There will be clear signs that it is the ‘Survive and Thrive’ bus.)
Transportation to the Camp
Arriving by Bus
As mentioned, our scheduled buses will depart for Club Getaway on Friday morning at or around 11 am from NYC (49th Street and 11th Ave). Buses will depart around 8:00 PM from Camp Getaway back to the same spot in NYC on Sunday Sep. 10th. If you are arriving on Friday morning, and cannot take these buses we ask that you take the
Arriving By Train:
Metro North from Grand Central to Harlem Valley/Wingdale Station, which is 15 minutes from the camp. We will provide transportation from the train station to the camp. Once you know which train you want to take on the day, please email transportation@clubgetaway.com and we’ll arrange for you to be picked up from the station .
Club Getaway is approximately 1½ to 2 hours from the New York City and should you wish to drive to the camp, there’s plenty of free parking on location.

What to Bring
A lot of comfortable attire (exercise clothes, swimwear, sportswear, sneakers) and perhaps, a party wear outfit or two. Don’t forget to bring shampoo, soap, lotion, sunscreen and other sundries. In September, we are expecting daytime temperatures in the 70’s, while evening temperatures may drop to the low 50’s, so pack appropriately. We provide towels! But wait, there are goodie bags… but just to be sure.

Minimum Guest Age to attend S&T: 18 years old; alcohol will not be served to anyone under 21 years old.
Electronic devices (computer, tablet or cell phone): Internet access is available throughout the campus. Charging stations for laptops and phones will be set up in various locations on the property.
Smoking: While smoking is not prohibited on the grounds, we ask that you are mindful of other guests. Designated smoking stations will be set up on the campus.
Alcohol is available and included in your stay on campus, but it is prohibited to bring outside alcohol onto the property.
Walking: An integral part of the program. Guests can expect to walk 3-5 miles a day on hilly, uneven pathways. Hiking boots are recommended on trails.
Dietary / medical considerations: All meals are included in your stay. Should be submitted in advance. Please be sure to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions (such as life-threatening allergies), or if you are vegetarian or have any medical considerations that might prohibit full participation in an active program. Housing:
All housing is included in your stay. The camp is set up to serve multiple occupancies per room, so single occupancy is not available. The rooming set up will be roommate style with either double or quad occupancy. If there is someone you would like to share the room with,
please let us know ahead of time (email rooming@clubgetaway.com). Televisions are not available in the rooms. While a safe for valuables is available at the main office, we recommend you leave your valuables at home. Please note, each cabin comes with keys for
each attendee.
Yoga, Meditation: As part of your experience, you will have the opportunity to participate in instructor-led meditation and yoga classes before the day’s activities begin.
Activities: The resort offers a wide variety of classes you can take! The classes range from yoga to water polo on a noodle. We will be doing activities as a group, but you will also have a chance to schedule activities during your downtime. A sample schedule will be provided to you to give you an idea of the types and times of the activities. Activities are available from 6 am to 7:30 pm.
Entertainment:
Yes…we plan to party like it’s 1999. On Friday we have live performances by Jamar Rogers from the TV show the Voice and Luz Wang of Tommy Boy records.On Saturday night we have one of New York’s hottest DJ’s on hand to get you on the dance floor. Alcohol will be free
flowing, but naturally we ask for moderation in all we do.
New York Hotel
Survive and Thrive is working with the Marriott Hotel at 811 7th Ave. Guests will be responsible for booking their own reservations. All call-ins must be made on or before 26-Aug-2017. However, reservations will be accepted based on space and rate availability. Please be
sure to identify yourself with Survive and Thrive Today Room Block. In order to assure special rate, Reservations can be made by calling (888)-627-7067 and asking for the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel and the Survive and Thrive Today Room Block.
Extra night at Club Getaway
For those who wish to stay over on Sunday night and depart Monday at 11am, dinner will be provided on Sunday night and breakfast on Monday. You will need to arrange your own transportation back to the city. The Metro North train stop is 15 minutes away by Uber, Lyft or local taxi.
