General Information

Q. What is Survive and Thrive?

A. Survive and Thrive is an exclusive, participatory boot camp for the entrepreneurs who want to take action to move their companies from surviving to thriving. Different from other conferences, entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend for a weekend of masterminds, connections and adventure. Survive and Thrive brings together influential, successful business leaders, accredited investors, entrepreneurs, coaches, students and future leaders whose goals are to elevate their game for peak success. It is limited to 300 attendees.

Program Information

Q. What are the dates?

A. September 8, 9, and 10, 2017.  Attendees have the option to stay over on the night of the 10th and depart at 10AM Monday, September 11th.

Q. Where does Survive and Thrive take place?

A. Survive and Thrive will take place at the 300 acre scenic Club Getaway in Kent, CT., about an hour and 20 mins from Manhattan. Club Getaway is the ultimate sports, fun and adventure destination in the North East. This all-inclusive venue with lakeside cabins is the perfect getaway from madness of daily routine and the perfect place to mix play and work.

Arrival time and Registration to Survive & Thrive is between 11AM-2PM on Friday, September 8th. Scheduled events begin at 3PM.

Q. How much is a ticket to Survive and Thrive?

Q. What does my ticket to Survive and Thrive entitle me to get?

A. Your Survive and Thrive ticket entitles you to a 3 night lodging, all meals, drinks including alcohol, activities, Masterminds classes, keynote speaker sessions, fireside chats, meet & greets, mentoring, nighttime activities, entertainment and transportation from New York City. In order to get transportation from New York City, you must select the transportation option at the time of registration.

Q. Are the tickets transferrable during the event?

A. No.

Q. Is there a one-day ticket?

A. No. Survive and Thrive is an intimate, immersive event and team experience.  No transfer of tickets will be allowed.

Q. My plans have changed, can I get a refund?

A. All sales are final…but should an unforeseen emergency arise, please contact us personally.

Q. Can I resell my ticket?

A. No.  We have vetted each of our attendees so that they meet the criteria for inclusion, so you may not resell you ticket to just anyone. Again, however, we can review requests on a case by case basis.  

Q. I have a disability, can my caregiver attend? Do they need a ticket?

A. We do have several disabled-equipped cabins but we must stress that the terrain at Club Getaway is very difficult to navigate and may prove challenging.  Please consult with us if you have specific questions.   Survive and Thrive would be pleased to accommodate your needs. Q. Age restrictions?

A. Survive and Thrive is an adult camp.  The age restrictions is 18 years old…though to be served alcohol guests needs to be 21 years or older.

Q. How does Media register and get a pass for Survive and Thrive?

Media will be given free passes to event, however they are responsible for own accommodation and transportation off campus. There is a hotel five minutes from campus.

Q. What is the dress code for Survive and Thrive?

A. It’s a camp. Bring campy gear and comfortable shoes.  Lots of water sports too…so swim gear is appropriate. You are encouraged to swap your daytime sports jackets with tees and fleeces and shoes with sneakers for a weekend of connections and adventure.  However, we do party hard so dress for evening parties is also recommended.

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. Again it’s a camp. Your accommodations will be in shared cabins. We provide the basics, bedding and towels for all our guests. You will need to bring your own toiletries, hair dryer, beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, etc., though I’m sure you will get goodie bags that may prove helpful.   

Q. Do all attendees get a copy of Survive and Thrive today book?

A. Yes.

Q. Is Survive and Thrive pet friendly?

A. As much as we love pets, they are not permitted on the property.

Accommodation

Q. When is check in and check out?

A. Check in is no sooner than 11AM on the day of arrival, September 8. Check-out is is either 7PM of Sunday, September 10th or guests have a free night option and must check out no later than 10AM September 11.

Q. What are the accommodations?

A. All accommodation at Club Getaway is shared. There are 2, 3,4, and 5-bed cabins.   The 2 room cabins are reserved for VIP guests and others will be assigned randomly.  If you have special requests, don’t hesitate to call us.

Q. I want a single do not want to share a cabin?

A. There are no single rooms at Club Getaway. If you absolutely cannot share a room but want to come to Survive and Thrive, there is a hotel 5 minutes away, however you will be responsible for hotel cost and daily transportation back and forth to Survive and Thrive.

Q. I have dietary restrictions, who do I contact?

A. Please let us know when you register. There will be a dietary option to fill out on the registration form.

Q. What are the nearest airports?

A. La Guardia, JFK, White Plains, and Bradley International airports.

Q. Is transportation available from Airport?

A. No, we will not provide transportation from the airports. Transportation is arranged from New York City only.

Q. Is travel included in the ticket price?

A. Airline travel and any other travel, except on the bus provided from New York to Club Getaway is not included in the ticket price. Exact details on transfer from New York to Camp Getaway will be sent to registered attendees.  

Q. What happens if I want to stay the extra night on Sunday...how do I get back to New York?

A. While the programming officially finishes at 7pm on Sunday Sep 10th, should you wish to stay the evening on Sunday at Club Getaway and head home yourself the following day, there’s a train station near Club Getaway.  (Please note dinner/breakfast and the extra night’s accommodation is on the house.) Check out is at 10am Monday morning.

You could then order a taxi to the station which is about 20 minutes away. Take the Metro North from Harlem Valley/Wingdale Station (HM VALLEY-WINGDALE) to Grand Central. According to the recent schedule online for Monday Sep 11th, there’s trains leaving HM VALLEY-WINGDALE at 6:03am6:42am7:10am8:46am10:44am and 12:44pm2:34pm etc. The train ride is approximate 2 hours. Q. If I chose to drive, is there free parking?

A. Yes, we have a large parking lot that is free of charge for our guests.

Q. I am coming from outside the US, can you help with my visa?

A. No, but you will have access to download an invitation letter from the site once you have purchased a ticket. We do not engage directly with your embassy to obtain your visa.
